Instalacja, autorstwa Grzegorza Rogali, nosi tytuł "Theia". W greckiej mitologii jest to imię jednej z Tytanid. Mężem Thei był jej brat Hyperion (bóstwo swiatła i astronomii) a ich dziećmi Helios (Słońce), Selene (Księżyc) oraz Eos (Świt). W świecie współczesnej nauki Theia to hipotetyczna planeta o rozmiarach zbliżonych do Marsa. Naukowcy starają się udowodnić, że ok. 4,5 miliarda lat temu, u zarania dziejów, doszło do zderzenia Thei z Ziemią, którego skutkiem było powstanie naszego satelity – Księżyca. Struktura powierzchni naszej wersji planety, która została użyta w instalacji, powstała na bazie obrazów Joanny. "Władca mgieł" to poetycki tytuł serii obrazów, którego interpretację autorka pozostawia odbiorcy. Przewodnią refleksją podczas malowania tego cyklu była myśl o nieostrości naszego postrzegania, "zamgleniu" poznania, które ma rozliczne przyczyny oraz konsekwencje wynikające z naszej ludzkiej kondycji. Widz ruchem ręki animuje powierzchnię planety. Widzimy proces narodzin ciała niebieskiego.

The installation, created by Grzegorz Rogala, is entitled ‘Theia’. In Greek mythology, this is the name of one of the Titanides. Theia’s husband was her brother Hyperion (the god of light and astronomy), and their children were Helios (the Sun), Selene (the Moon) and Eos (Dawn). In the world of modern science, Theia is a hypothetical planet of a size similar to Mars. Scientists are attempting to prove that around 4.5 billion years ago, at the dawn of history, Theia collided with Earth, resulting in the formation of our satellite – the Moon. The surface texture of our version of the planet, which was used in the installation, was created based on Joanna’s paintings. “Lord of the Mists” is the poetic title of a series of paintings, the interpretation of which the artist leaves to the viewer. The guiding reflection whilst painting this series was the idea of the blurriness of our perception, the “haze” of cognition, which has numerous causes and consequences stemming from our human condition. With a wave of the hand, the viewer animates the surface of the planet. We witness the birth of a celestial body.
